Learning to Help Learning

Teachers are to make a difference in students learning, and materials will support or impede their impact.
text books are providing limited experiences, therefore it is in the teacher´s hand to create and design learning strategies that will potentiate the students hability to grasp on the new knowledge that in being put forth

  • Contextualization is crucial to address each student needs individualy.
  • Misconception should be approached through constructivisim, so from there on, new knowledge can be developed 
Motivational Strategies:
Instructional materials must include fetures to mantain learner motivation, and they should leed to:
  • positive expectations
  • feedback, and
  • appearance.
Setting Positive Expectations:
It contributes to students´ motivation, involvement, learning outcomes, and contentment; the learning climate must be intentionally designed into the course.

A degree of challenge and relevancy of activities also influences positive expectations.
  • A balance in the level of difficulty is essential to mantain students interested in giving it their best. Responding time is very important in this regard.
  • The relevancy of the new learning experiences is key to the achievement of the goals.
